During the busy summer season, what is your strategy to keep your house guest-ready? |
|
Mark 18/12/07 |
thats what I took for the waiter |

I tried this before and it worked. Dig a big hole in the yard, then throw everything in the trash or disorderly and bury things in it. No one will ever know, and when summer is over you have a beautiful tree that grows trash. |

Simple ... ask anyone, and if someone comes knocking, do not answer the door. |

During holidays and all through the year we have guests drop by all the time at which the notice. So with that said, my children are my great staff. They have been taught well to keep the house beautiful. I do the cleaning, while doing the cleaning of the base. It helps me a lot. I guess that is all a matter of routine? |

I just have a notice on the door of my house that says a clean house is the sign of a life wasted in this way people know what to expect lol |

I agree with apbanpos and lyn and ... Keep the guest bathroom GUEST READY divide the house in areas ... keep it simple and manageable ... you can reorder a field for 15 minutes and relax and gather your thoughts and go to something else ... if you focus on areas cluttered, set a timer ... and then just pass the time on what's most important - even yourself ... to love yourself and that is what more you want to share with others this season. .. |

My house is always ready to welcome guests not holidays or holidays. What about you? |

If my friends came to see me, please come to know at any moment. They also know that if they came to see my house, they need to give a few weeks' notice. Not constantly dust holiday decor - I put a Christmas tree and stockings hanging by the fireplace. They are not long enough to be in need of dusting. Outside of this, "m not going to do something you do not already do. If it is not good enough for my friends and family, then certainly not to waste their time to come and visit me. I go to enjoy my company, no more than emphasize what seems like my house. And if one of my children has left a bowl of popcorn in the family room - well, this is what a family room is to sit down, relax, eat and a bowl of popcorn in. |

I make sure dust at least every other day, vaccuum once a day, everyone cleans their plate, collecting things from the floor and the table and put things had to go otherwise things start to pile up quickly and then makes one more mess. I just turn on some Christmas music and family of chips with most of the cleaning and we have a good time as a famliy. |

i dont need to do something "extra". i clean every day all year round and make sure that my family know what the table is clean. I do not need any "deposit" of garbage. all the steps of the rubbish away. trash is the right place to store stuff unnecessary |
|
Peet 17/12/07 |
Simple - do not invite anyone over! If they show up anyway, pretend you're not home.;) |
|

keep clean the bathroom, the kitchen clean and tidy. Guests are responsible to maintain their rooms in order, cleaning and any "Masses" to their children. relax and enjoy your guests and let them help. |

Dusters fast - i use a hair dryer so you know, but it works if your house smells good feel Someone cleaned, another thing to do is in you bleach for sanitation and let rest - in the meantime take ' hot water, bleach and mix then spray-down sinks and showers after rubbing with a dry white cloth - seat rub with a cloth or towel Clorox Papper if only n-flush you have a clean bathroom, and know its fall but if Tacky behind the house on the saying is true - of-mind for so dirty dishes in the washer clean laundry can remain in soil in dyrere side washer (hampers will be clean) and still find time to make the beds and empty the trash - Sunday could also gives the natural look of a brighter - clean house! |

I try to do an hour every night before bed time to catch up on everything, and if I have extra time at any time I try to do some 'extra, as are some sweets that do not take very long . Or wrap a few presents. Keep empty the dishwasher, if I may. Good luck. |

I just do not worry about it. If people want to judge them on my home, which may, but I prefer to focus on the quality of interactions, rather than the appearance of my house. |

This is a great question .... :) I prepare my guest to say how I am extremely embarrassed that my house is not perfectly clean at 100% before they arrive. I tell them I have to choose between cleaning every day or spend time with them and that to me, a dirty house is much better not to see them. So my husband and I make some quick cleaning ..... and fast ..... I just pick up and Windex all points visible from the house .... as if we fast foward command. Usually, when guests arrive expect to see worse. and always compliments on how everything looks beautiful. And all it takes is a vacumm, a bottle of Windex, some paper towels and 10-20 minutes of your time.:) Happy Holidays Everyone! |

Friends and relatives came to visit you and your family and not to control your home. They should expect some 'of disorder and a lot of dust during this festive season, so if someone is so damn PICKY to criticize the way of maintaining the house and not tell you how your lucious gingerbread cookies are, do not invite the next year. |

I tell them that if you do not like the way they look at my house, do not let the door hit in the ass on the way out! If people are looking for a home, are not true friends / family. People too hung up on petty, unimportant stuff. |

I am not one of disorder, but what we do not refer to the Christmas decorations go in a cabinet until after the holidays. Things are less cluttered, easier to stay on it. Less is more. |
|

My husband and I shares home duties in our small apartment. It 's just the two of us for the holidays so it will be cozy and intimate. :) |

1) Christmas in the home are always cookies. 2) are always a beautiful Christmas tree decorated. 3) Welcome your guests with a smile! Who cares of the rest? |
|
neilsmyhero 17/12/07 |
Simplicity itself. I only have friends who come to see me, not the condition of my house. If anyone thinks that my house is not clean enough, they are asked to leave. |
|
Rimster! 17/12/07 |
What to do? It 'easy! No children! Me and my husband does not make a mess. So, we are always ready to Dec. 5th and clean up the little things. Like the laundry, dishes, etc. is really good. But we are thinking of having children in a po 'di tempo. |

I do so much throughout the year, clean up immediately after I mess up, always have the guest bathroom "guest ready" and maybe have some little munchie and drinking things that are warm and comfortable. I also decorate the entry and stay (on the fireplace are green now and a snowman on the handle). Simplicity is the best motto. |

I keep my table Dustbuster fully charged, I also use the Clorox wipes handy. I am not afraid to use paper goods. paper cup, plates, etc. ...... I love the simplicity. the start of spring cleaning for the beginning of December, while my children are in school. My garage is my storage area where they are bombarded with too much laundry, canteen, etc. ... |

Yes, I have to accommodate all guests |
|
big city 17/12/07 |
I focus on cleaning a room one day and then make sure that everything remains on board. I had company for 6 weeks straight! Several close relatives, and therefore it was difficult, but do-able. |
|
shogun_316 17/12/07 |
Still ... always have a place where you can throw everything and close the door. It is not a cabinet ... that spare bedroom or home office. Toss the trash there and close the door. |

Keep a clean house during the hectic summer season can be a challenge - especially with the additional details to address, such as gingerbread cookies on the floor, which needs constant dust holiday decor, and visitors to drop l ' last minute. How to keep your house clean during this busy time? |
