Well, the only thing I can think of is that when we carve pumpkins, we usually triangles for eyes, and saw toothed mouths - perhaps because we do the forms, this is a geometric holidays? In our local high school, they celebrate "Pi Day" March 17 - get it? 3.17? LOL ..... but I can not understand something for Halloween - 10.31? There is a mathematical constant with that value? |

I'm trying to help my friend a little 'to get credit for his Trig class, so the teacher asks her something along the lines of "Why is it a legitimate halloween math vacation" or as it is a legitimate mathematical holiday. Someone has any idea Google does not work too well for that. |
