I do not think Christmas decorations should go up to the day after Thanksgiving and I do not think that they should be past New Year.

To me, what is wrong is the day after Thanksgiving for them and the day after New Year's Day to take down. There is something really wrong with the Christmas decorations before Halloween (I saw). A month is enough. EMT

Well honestly, a lot of people around here have worked on putting Christmas lights up on their case last week or so. They are not held until after Thanksgiving, but if you live somewhere where there is likely to be snow and ice at Thanksgiving time is much safer for them to put up now (you can not put them where there is already snow and ice). And the same thing for the post-Christmas, a lot of times the snow and ice to get the lights on the eaves frozen and it is difficult and / or dangerous to take down while there is snow and ice, so a lot people who leave them until there is some mid winter thaw.

lol. I hear you! I do not know if I'm going or coming. E ', of course, to the person, but I personally think that Halloween was more than a couple of weeks ago. I am always in a spirit of Christmas, a hard when you do not see all the shops and decked even tho I do not usually decorate up to a month before (November 25), are always out of this weekend the children are my great bc bugging time to do so - so I'm doing to keep them happy and I say, I like our Canadian Thanksgiving in early October to further confuse things I think!

I think up to the beginning of the month, and until the end of the month. Halloween is in October through November, and Christmas in December. should not really overlap

In Great Britain, the decoration outside the house with the lights of Christmas is bigger than Getter ever. Many try to outdo each other, but it's fun and nice to see the lights of Christmas faces.Ideally.No children up to 1 December, and they were on Twelfth Night after Christmas.Halloween DECS Proper after.Thanksgiving day is one day before and taken down the next day

I always put the Christmas decorations until the day after Thanksgiving and take them on New Year's day. Everyone has their own preferences, and even if they are entitled to that.

I believe the official start of the holiday season of Christmas is the day after Thanksgiving ( "Black Friday", the biggest shopping days, when the financial firms to enter into "black"). However, given that T-occupied and that seems to exhaust itself (with the kitchen and the influx of family), some are too tired to be decoration for your next holiday in Black Friday. SO, some of us who try to cover our thanks busy-ness began to decorate for Christmas early!

It is for the owner of the house I guess. We try to stay current with every holiday ... in other words, we fall decorations hours because it is still falling. We usually put our Christmas stuff after Thanksgiving because that's the next holiday. I, however, see people who have Christmas lights up year round ...

Well not all of them today, but my family has always waits until the day after Thanksgiving to put up Christmas decorations. I saw some houses in my area who have already theirs. Some people want to have the feeling that the holidays are over!

I think that a week after the holiday is about the maximum can be up decorations. Putting up decorations should be done at least in the same month as the true holiday. Why are the Christmas decorations up already? Hello, what about Thanksgiving? I do not want to see things for Christmas, at least until 1 DIC.

Most of the holiday is usually one week before and put up a week later to take it down. Christmas on the other hand, people usually begin the week of Thanksgiving and do not take it down until the second week of January.

I have some neighbors who have already decked their homes with Christmas lights, but there are other houses that still have their jack-o-lanterns outside. What is the proper protocol for setting up and taking down holiday decorations?
