Nobody knows. Unless you have a crystal ball ... Generally December-January are the peak months for tourism in Thailand. The prices are higher in that period a peak at Christmas and New Year. (Many hotels are obligatory dinner parties.) But other factors play an important role even when the 'canaries' occupied the airport, which killed the entire season. Many hotels have 20% or less employment. If the dollar or euro dive a lot, it would greatly influence things. There is now an economic crisis. Could result in people not on the road. This is not Bin Laden and Al Quackies his performance somewhere. In other words, nobody knows for sure. |

just to give you a little 'idea of me and my partner flew with Emirates via Dubai, then did the tour golden triangle, which is two nights in a hotel in Bangkok, then five nights tour with five nights in full board, with a driver and a tour guide, stopping at three different hotels. then added five nights in Pattaya Beach at the end of the tour this involved an internal flight from Bangkok to Chang Mai, and five nights bed and breakfast in Pattaya, we flew out December 20 08 flew again on 3 January 09th total cost of holiday travel with Kuoni was £ 4700 and the expenditure of money |

No one can really say that the economic situation will be like entering the later part of 2009. Oil prices could be anywhere. In general, the hotel prices will be somewhat 'top at Christmas and expect flights to be Woud period of peak prices. Beyond the peak periods, accommodation can be found in Thailand for about 200 pounds per month to low-grade hotels. Condos can be found for 180 pounds upwards. |
