What is the most common time to eat a meal or a vacation on the family reunion? |

I prefer to eat sooner rather than later. (This is especially true for situations / holidays where large dinners are served - namely Thanksgiving and Christmas.) I have found that eating in a semi-normal time during these events (5 or 6 pm) I am feel terrible for the rest of the night. I just stuffed myself, and I do not want to do anything else (visit with family, open presents, clean the kitchen, etc.) I basically feel like a blob. :) Eat above did not so bad, because at present there is the evening, I updated, everything is clean, and I have time to visit all. :) |

If you have diabetes in the family, noon is best. |

Well, I will not be of much help as both have their merits. 2:00 pm and is strange time and many people are likely to be very hungry by then. But give the cooks a lot of time to prepare, without having to get up at dawn. It also gives those who have much time to travel to get there. 12:00 pm is best for those with grumbling tummys and good for those who have an evening engagement, however, those preparing the meals have to get up much earlier and that those who travel are to leave that much earlier. As I write this, however, I decided 2:00 pm I think it is a better time. Do not gloat too much or if you may be banished to the couch! LOL |

According to a course I took at Fordham University called "Sociology of social gatherings" The collection of food for the people together is always better to do at the beginning of the harvest. Food helps to put everyone in a good mood. It makes them excited a better prepared to converse with one another. A large breakfast buffet is not a bad idea. |

You should skip the meal and prevent a major topic. |

Hmm, we always do this for about 3 or 4 pm depending on the timing of all. Some people will have to compromise and should be made aware of this. Every family is different. I thought that 3 or 4 was just after lunch (light) and a good quantity to digest before the trip. Good luck and have fun. |

My wife and I are in disagreement about when to eat for a family or a holiday meal together. I really do not care when. My mother has everything to 2:00 pm (which in my opinion may be somewhat 'strange, but I am obliged to the people). His family had a meal at midday. Let's hear it, that is crazy?
